CyberWest Summit 2025

  • Held on 28–29 May 2025 with the theme “Future-Proofing Your Business”, this year’s summit equiped professionals across all industries with the knowledge and tools to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.

    With more than 400 passionate attendees, including international delegates from the Philippines and India, this year’s summit brought together a powerful cross-section of leaders from government, industry, academia, and startups. United by a shared mission: to future-proof our business and secure our digital future.

    As cyber threats evolve—driven by advances in AI, data exploitation, and global connectivity—the summit brought together dozens of cybersecurity experts to share practical strategies for prevention, response, and resilience. Designed especially for non-technical professionals, the event makes cybersecurity accessible and actionable for business leaders, project managers, legal and risk professionals, HR teams, and anyone who relies on digital tools in their work.

  • The CyberWest Summit 2024 continued its impressive growth, welcoming 679 delegates over two days under the theme “Cyber Ready, Stay in the Game.” The event offered a rich and engaging program designed to empower professionals across all sectors with the knowledge and tools to strengthen cyber resilience.

    Attendees had the opportunity to:

    • Connect with 34 exhibitors showcasing innovative cybersecurity solutions

    • Participate in 28 presentations, 13 panel discussions, and 8 hands-on workshops

    • Learn from 88 local, national, and international experts

  • The 2024 summit featured an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers, including:

    • Scott Pape, The Barefoot Investor, offering insights on financial resilience in a digital world

    • Kai Roer, international expert on cyber culture and security behavior

    • Craig Ford, author, CISO, and self-described Cyber Unicorn

    • Hayley Turner, Area Vice President, APAC at Dragos, a global leader in industrial cybersecurity

    In addition, delegates were treated to exclusive pre-recorded virtual presentations from:

    • Seeyew Mo, Assistant National Cyber Director for Cyber Workforce, Training and Education at the White House

    • Frank Abagnale, renowned former scam artist turned CIA advisor, sharing his unique perspective on deception and digital trust

    The 2024 summit reinforced the importance of being cyber-ready and showcased how collaboration, education, and innovation are key to staying in the game.

CyberWest Summit 2023

  • In 2023, the CyberWest Summit was reimagined as “The Cyber Conference for Non-Cyber Professionals”, reinforcing our mission to make cybersecurity accessible to all businesses. The two-day event welcomed over 500 attendees, reflecting the growing recognition that cyber resilience is a shared responsibility across every level of an organisation.

    With the theme “Secure by Design”, the summit featured compelling keynote presentations, insightful panel discussions, immersive workshops, and a dedicated careers showcase. Each element was designed to bridge the gap between IT and other business functions, fostering a deeper, organisation-wide understanding of cybersecurity and resilience.

CyberWest Summit 2021

  • The inaugural CyberWest Summit took place in Perth on 24–25 June 2021, attracting over 350 delegates. The event focused on the cybersecurity challenges and opportunities within critical infrastructure and law enforcement, while also addressing key sectors such as finance, health, education, and data science. This foundational summit set the stage for a broader conversation about cyber resilience across diverse industries.

    In addition to keynote presentations, delegates participated in breakout sessions and a Live Demo Showcase. The breakout sessions—led primarily by Western Australian industry experts—offered high-level insights into how cyber threats disrupt business operations and how organisations can build resilience.

    The Live Demo Showcase featured five local cybersecurity companies, each demonstrating innovative capabilities with commercial potential. This platform highlighted the export opportunities for emerging businesses in Western Australia’s growing cyber sector.
