🌐 CyberWest Summit 2025: Where Strategy Meets Innovation

Its been one week since CWS2025, and the momentum remains strong. Over two transformative days, we didn’t just discuss the future of cybersecurity — we helped shape it.

With more than 400 passionate attendees, including international delegates from the Philippines and India, this year’s summit brought together a powerful cross-section of leaders from government, industry, academia, and startups. United by a shared mission: to future-proof our business and secure our digital future.

🚀 Strategic Launch: Setting the Cyber Agenda for the Indo-Pacific
The summit opened with a dynamic welcome reception hosted by the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP), drawing over 100 guests. The evening featured a compelling panel discussion:

"CyberStrategy2030: Building Regional Resilience Through Collaboration and Capabilities"—a roadmap for cyber resilience across the Indo-Pacific.

This diverse panel underscored CyberWest Hub and Western Australia’s leadership in advancing Cyber Strategies and Cyber Resilience across the Indo-Pacific. A heartfelt thank you to the ARRP for hosting such an inspiring start to the summit.

As LTGEN Michelle McGuinness CSC reminded us, cybersecurity is not confined to IT departments—it’s a shared responsibility that spans boardrooms, classrooms, and communities. We all have a role to play in securing our digital future.

  • Dr. Dr Karl Kruszelnicki captivated the audience with science, storytelling, and spark—reminding us that public understanding is our greatest cyber asset.

  • Katherine Mansted closed with sharp insights on policy, power, and the leadership needed in a digital-first world.

💡 Themes That Sparked New Thinking: From AI-driven security to quantum risk, human-centred design to critical infrastructure protection—every session pushed boundaries and ignited fresh ideas.

🤝 The Real Magic? The Conversations Between Sessions. New partnerships were formed. Ideas were challenged. Strategies were sharpened. This wasn’t just a summit—it was a movement toward smarter, stronger, and more secure digital futures.
