Scams & Scones: Strengthening Cyber Awareness in WA Communities 🧁🔐

We’ve just wrapped up two energising Scams and Scones sessions at the Joondalup Men’s Shed and Mosman Park Men’s Shed, where 45 attendees came together to learn, share, and build resilience against online scams.

These sessions are part of a broader effort to make CyberSafety accessible, relatable, and community-driven — and it was fantastic to see such strong engagement from participants who brought curiosity, lived experience, and great questions to the table.

This initiative is proudly led by the Hub, with Caitriona Forde as the lead trainer. Caitriona’s engaging and practical approach to scam awareness education continues to resonate deeply with community members, helping to build confidence and Digital Resilience in everyday life - because Cybersecurity is a LifeSkill.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our amazing volunteers who supported both sessions — your time, energy, and care helped create a welcoming and impactful experience for everyone involved.
