City of Gosnells Local Business Forum
AI for Small Business: Building Capability and Confidence
CyberWest Hub was proud to partner with the City of Gosnells and Ruman Sarawer (AISA) to deliver “AI for Small Business: What You Need to Know” at the City’s Monthly Business Forum. This session built on the success of our recent #CyberEssentials Workshop, continuing our shared commitment to helping local businesses strengthen #DigitalCapability and confidence in an evolving technology landscape.
The forum provided practical, actionable insights into how small businesses can begin adopting AI — #safely, #ethically, and #effectively — while embedding #CyberResilience from the outset. From understanding AI’s potential to identifying risks and governance considerations, the discussion focused on enabling businesses to leverage technology as a tool for trust, efficiency, and innovation.
Across both sessions, one consistent message emerged:
Technology is only transformative when it’s clearly communicated and aligned with business outcomes. Whether it’s cyber security or AI, success depends on strategies that prioritize clarity, confidence, and customer trust.
A huge thank you to the City of Gosnells, Australian Information Security Association (AISA), Ruman Sarawer and all the participants who contributed to these valuable conversations. At CyberWest Hub, we remain committed to supporting WA businesses in building capability, clarity, and confidence — ensuring that innovation works for everyone.
