🎉 Student of Cyber July with Focus Networks – What a Day! 🔐

We’re excited to share highlights from our recent Student of Cyber July event, hosted in collaboration with David Staeck and his team at Focus Networks!

💬 David and Josh kicked things off by sharing valuable market insights and practical advice on cyber career readiness. He also gave students a deeper understanding of Focus Networks—highlighting how their client-centric approach, tailored solutions, and commitment to innovation - helps them deliver meaningful impact in a rapidly evolving industry.

🎙️ The session reached a new level of engagement with guest speaker Jevon Ang from Huntress who shared his inspiring career journey and offered a compelling, behind-the-scenes glimpse into the daily life of a SOC analyst. His insights brought real-world context to the classroom and sparked thoughtful conversations among students—an experience that was both enlightening and motivating.

🕵️‍♂️ The Capture the Flag (CTF) session was an absolute blast! Our cohort split into two teams and tackled a cyber-focused challenge that tested their skills, teamwork, and creativity. The energy and enthusiasm were off the charts!

👥 It was also fantastic to see returning students and new faces from other tertiary institutions joining us—your curiosity and passion for cybersecurity made the day even more special.
